Wisetroop's commercial consultancy service is available to pet food manufacturers and industry professionals seeking specialist expertise beyond recipe formulation. Consultancy is charged at SGD 250 per hour, or by retainer.

Services covered under commercial consultancy include:

• Ingredient strategy — evaluation and strategic selection of ingredients to meet nutritional, regulatory, and commercial objectives

• Manufacturer & commercial kitchen liaison — direct coordination with your production team on formulation-related requirements

• Product research, ideation, and concept development — research-informed product conceptualisation and development strategy for new or reformulated fresh pet food products

• Health claims substantiation — review and substantiation of nutrition and health claims in accordance with applicable regulatory standards

• Laboratory report review — Wisetroop does not conduct laboratory testing, but reviews test reports and advises on any resulting recipe adjustments

• Product training — virtual training sessions for sales, marketing, or retail teams, prepared by Wisetroop in collaboration with the client. SGD 500 per session (up to 2 hours, recording permitted); SGD 200 per repeat session using the same materials

She brings over 12 years of clinical experience as a human nutritionist, with specialist training in nutritional, metabolic, and functional medicine.

Wisetroop formulates recipes exclusively for fresh pet food — gently cooked and raw. We do not formulate kibble or canned pet food products.

Formulations are available for dogs and cats across all life stages, including puppy and kitten, adult, and senior. Therapeutic formulations for specific health conditions are also available.

Wisetroop formulates recipes in compliance with AAFCO or FEDIAF nutritional standards, depending on the client's target market and regulatory requirements. The applicable standard is confirmed during the initial Information-gathering meeting and applied throughout the formulation process.

The first step is to submit a Quotation Request Form, outlining your project requirements — including target market, diet type, regulatory baseline, life stage and therapeutic targets, raw ingredient considerations, number of recipes, and project timeline.

Following review of your submission, Wisetroop will arrange a complimentary Information-gathering video call, up to 90 minutes, to walk through your requirements and the formulation process in detail, and answer any questions you may have.

A formal quotation is then prepared and submitted. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the project and commence formulation work.

Each recipe carries a delivery timeline of three (3) to five (5) working days from the commencement of formulation. Project timelines are also influenced by the review periods allocated to the client — two weeks for the first draft review and three weeks for the final recipe review.

Overall project duration will depend on the number of recipes commissioned and the complexity of the formulation requirements, and will be outlined in the project quotation.

Commercial formulation package starts from SGD 600 for an adult maintenance recipe, or SGD 800 for a condition-specific (therapeutic) recipe, and includes standard support:

• One (1) nutritionally complete and balanced recipe, according to AAFCO or FEDIAF guidelines

• Comprehensive Recipe Report (Full recipe and ingredient inclusion rate/percentage, macro and micronutrient profile, calorie count, feeding and storage guide, diet contraindications)

• Up to 3 adjustments per recipe

• Review of any laboratory test reports and resulting recipe adjustments, within the 3 adjustments included

• Email support for formulation clarifying questions (response time of 48 business hours)

• One (1) support video call (up to 45 minutes per call)

Important
Email support is intended for quick check-ins or project updates. Complex formulation or strategic changes will require a separate scheduled brief.

Please note that adjustments involving a change to the primary meat or organ protein source are considered a new recipe formulation rather than an adjustment, and will be priced accordingly.

Adjustments exceeding the 5 included per recipe are billed starting from SGD 90 per adjustment, depending on the complexity of the work involved.

Additional recipes will be billed at SGD 300 per recipe for adult maintenance, and SGD 500 per recipe for condition-specific recipes.

Additional consultation or support is billed at SGD 250 per hour, or by retainer.

For clients who require more ongoing support than the standard package provides, Wisetroop offers a monthly retainer at an additional SGD 800 per month, with a minimum commitment of 3 months. The retainer includes everything in the standard support package, upgraded as follows:

• Priority email response — 24 business hours (vs. the standard 48-hour response time)

• Weekly alignment video calls, up to 45 minutes each

• 30 days of continued support following delivery of the final Recipe Report

The retainer runs alongside your formulation project and is billed monthly in addition to the recipe formulation fee.

The Recipe Report is the final deliverable presented upon project completion. It includes:

• Complete recipe, including the inclusion rate/percentage

• Detailed macro and micronutrient profile

• Calorie count

• Feeding and storage guide

• Diet contraindications

The Recipe Report is released upon receipt of the final 50% balance payment.

A 50% deposit of the total project fee is required to confirm the project and commence formulation work. The remaining 50% balance is due upon final delivery of the completed Recipe Report.

Yes. Wisetroop is able to formulate recipes that take into account multiple concurrent health conditions, for example, a pet managing both chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis. Each condition's nutritional priorities are carefully considered to ensure the formulation supports the management of all relevant conditions without compromise.

A multi-condition recipe is priced as a condition-specific (therapeutic) recipe. Our base commercial package for condition-specific formulation starts from SGD 800 (which includes our standard support), and SGD 500 per recipe for additional recipe within the same project.

Wisetroop works directly with pet food companies and industry professionals on recipe formulation, and can also liaise directly with your production manufacturer or commercial kitchen on ingredient availability, nutritional balancing, and final product texture, since scaling up of a formula for mass production can affect all three.

Ingredient sourcing and procurement, production and manufacturing execution, product testing remain outside the scope of Wisetroop's services.
