Our Approach

Referral Submission & Case Review

Referrals to be submitted directly by the attending veterinarian. Upon submission, the completed Referral Form is reviewed to establish a comprehensive understanding of the patient's case before any formulation work begins.

Large green circle with white question mark in the center, symbolizing a question or unknown information.

Quotation & Project Confirmation

Following the case review, a formal quotation is prepared and submitted. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the project and commence formulation work. Work commences upon receipt of the deposit.

Database Creation

Before formulation begins, all raw ingredients specified for the project are verified within the formulation software. Where ingredients are absent or require updating, a project-specific, verified ingredient database is built to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all nutritional data used in the formulation process. This stage is a critical foundation. The precision of the final recipe is only as reliable as the ingredient data it is built upon.

For complex or multi-condition referral cases, this stage may also involve a review of the patient's medication list to identify any known nutrient-drug interactions that should be taken into consideration during formulation.

Therapeutic Recipe Formulation

With the patient's case profile and ingredient database confirmed, formulation work begins. Each recipe is developed with careful consideration of the following parameters:

  • Target species and life stage constraints

  • Diagnosed condition and secondary health complications

  • Nutritional safety caps and established upper / lower limits

  • Ingredient inclusion ratios

  • Therapeutic nutrient ratios

  • Potential nutrient-drug interactions

  • Yield analysis

Each recipe carries a delivery timeline of three working days from the commencement of formulation.

Recipe Review

The recipe is submitted for clinical review and approval. The veterinarian is given two weeks to review and revert with feedback.

Each recipe includes up to three ingredient substitutions at no additional charge. Please note that changes to the primary meat or organ protein source will be considered a new recipe formulation rather than a substitution, and will be priced accordingly. Substitution requests exceeding the three included per recipe will be billed at SGD 45 per substitution.

Recipe Report & Final Delivery

Upon completion of all substitutions and final adjustments, a comprehensive Recipe Report is prepared and delivered to the initiating party. The report includes:

  • Complete recipe with preparation and storage guidelines

  • Guaranteed Analysis

  • Detailed macro and micronutrient profile

  • Caloric count and feeding guide

  • Diet transition guide

  • Clinical rationale for key nutritional decisions, where applicable

  • Recipe’s contraindications, if any

  • Any other relevant formulation notes for veterinary reference

Final delivery of the Recipe Report is contingent upon receipt of the remaining 50% balance payment.
