One-on-One Consultation with Pet Nutritionist
A professional nutrition advisory session for pet owners seeking informed guidance on their pet's diet and feeding approach
Whole-food Centred Approach to Pet Nutrition
Our philosophy is grounded in whole-food nutrition.
Supplements and nutraceuticals are incorporated only where there is a clear clinical rationale.
Every ingredient and nutrient profile is selected with function in mind, not just adequacy.
Our Approach
Every nutrition consultation follows a four-stage process designed to ensure recommendations are evidence-informed, condition-appropriate, and practical for implementation at home
Nutrition Assessment
A thorough review of the submitted intake form, covering medical history, eating habits, lifestyle factors, anthropometric measurements, current supplementation, and any complementary therapies.
Relevant veterinary documentation, including blood chemistry panels and diagnostic reports are reviewed prior to the session.
Identify Concerns
The nutritionist identifies and defines the specific nutritional concerns relevant to the individual pet - examining the likely cause, clinical presentation, and nutritional implications.
Findings are discussed collaboratively with the owner.
Nutrition Intervention
Targeted nutrition and feeding plan is developed, which may include selection of a therapeutic commercial diet, formulation of a balanced raw or gently cooked recipe, and condition-specific supplementation.
Current medications are reviewed for potential interactions.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Ongoing monitoring of the diet transition, weight, BCS, MCS, and veterinary lab work.
Adjustments to the diet and supplementation plan are made in response to real-world outcomes and the progression of the pet's condition.

-
Yes. Wisetroop is able to formulate recipes that take into account multiple concurrent health conditions. Complex cases — such as a pet managing both chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis — are carefully considered to ensure the formulation addresses the nutritional priorities of each condition without compromising the management of the other.
We recommend that all therapeutic recipes be reviewed by your primary veterinarian before implementation, particularly where multiple conditions are involved.

A veterinary referral is not required. Wisetroop works directly with pet owners seeking nutritional guidance and recipe formulation for their pets.
That said, we strongly encourage all clients to share recommendations and formulated recipes with their primary veterinarian. Nutritional management is most effective when it is integrated with, and informed by, the broader veterinary care plan.
Please note that Wisetroop does not provide emergency veterinary advice. If your pet requires urgent medical attention, please contact your veterinarian directly.
